Move away from your computer for 20 minutes to stand and stretch your back, neck and shoulders with Anja, Balance Garden. This short session is designed to stretch those tense muscles, boost energy and reenergise your day. Come in your usual clothes. No experience necessary.

Mix and make your own herbal teas. In this introduction to the health benefits of herbs, Nat from Hackney Herbal will show us a range of herbs known for their health benefits and teach us how to blend herbal teas said to improve our wellbeing including for better sleep, digestion and reducing stress. Make, taste and take herbal teabags home.

Come along to a relaxed social reading group to discuss extracts and articles related to the botanical workshops happening as part of today's event!
6pm-(45mins)- Slow Stretch NEW
Shake off the tension at the end of the day with this new workshop led by Marina, Balance Garden. Start off with some easy breathing exercises, then move onto a relaxed blend of standing and seated stretches designed to increase flexibility and sooth the mind. No experience necessary.
7:30pm-(100mins)- Small Objects of Desire
Mixed media & found objects two-part course led by artist & writer Cas Holmes. (12 Oct & 26 Oct)
Explore design & creation of cloth like papers (momigami) and create mixed media collage with stitch and glue.
Cas is interested in the liminal, ‘in between’ spaces connecting land, place, and environment. Her work combines mixed media with found materials and stitch to ‘Paint with Cloth’.
Publications include ‘Embroidering the Everyday’ & ‘Textile Landscape’.
