We look forward to welcoming you to our eclectic mix of in person and zoom sessions. 

On Wednesday 8th October MFC brings you the Dragon Café in the City project in collaboration with Shoe Lane Library and the City of London.  

Crafting. Songwriting. Stretching…

1pm (60 mins): Autumnal kusadama flowers & fold-up pumpkins

Make folded paper flowers and simple pumpkins to fold flat and reuse every year.

Using decorative origami and recycled papers; fold and cut shapes to be glued together to make your own autumnal display. With Artist Tracey Bush. Materials provided.

2.15pm (90mins): Silver Vaults Guided Walk

Join historian & guide Lester Hillman on a guided visit to the underground Silver Vaults. Learn about one or two historic sites enroute, including 12th Century Templar Priory.

Spaces are strictly limited due to small underground vaults capacity. Pre booking essential.

2.30pm (90mins): Relax & Create

Drop in for this self-led sociable session, including mindful drawing.

In person at Shoe Lane Library. No booking needed.

2.45pm (60 mins): Fabric Apron Art:  Breathe Green, Be Greener

Decorate an apron with nature inspired designs, to celebrate clean air, green living and environmental care. With the Air Quality Team City of London. An opportunity to reflect on how we care for the planet and share through your own creative expression.

5pm (50 mins): Yoga

Chillout with this relaxed session. Anya, Balance Garden will guide you with gentle movements, postures and breathwork.

No experience needed. Wear comfy clothes.

6pm (60mins): Song Writing

The workshop focusses on music for wellbeing and self-expression. Learn the basics of writing a song, with opportunity to sing it as a group. No experience needed, just a willingness to learn something new and to share creative ideas.  With singer-songwriter Ije Amaechi.
