Portobello Film Festival

We at Mental Fight Club are excited to announce that the film Bound, Unbound, Boundless has been chosen as an award nominee for the Portobello Film Festival and will be screened on Sunday 18th September as part of their fantastic line-up of UK made short films, documentaries, and animations. Tickets are free and it would be great to see you there.

The Portabello Film Festival was created in 1996 to provide a forum for new film-makers and give exposure to movies on different formats. The festival has been dubbed ‘the wild side of Brit Film’ (Metro), ‘this pioneering film festival’ (Evening Standard), ‘the biggest celebration of independent film in Europe’ (The Independent) and ‘London’s biggest filmic free-for-all’ (Time Out). That the Portobello Film Festival shows tomorrow’s films today is evident in the number of ideas first presented here that regularly crop up in the mainstream.

This film funded by The Wellcome Project was the creative culmination of months of work by patrons online during lockdown, and for a few short days of filming during a break in restrictions. We are enormously proud of this piece of work and delighted it is getting the recognition it so richly deserves.

The film is being shown in the award ceremony, Full details: https://www.picturehouses.com/movie-details/000/HO00012041/27th-portobello-film-film-festival-awards-ceremony
