Monday 31st July

The Dragon Café are delighted to invite patrons to come together on Monday 31st July, before we take a break for the month of August, to join us for a creative activities picnic. The picnic will be held in Kennington Park and will give all patrons a chance to be together, have some fun, and celebrate this special creative community. We welcome all Dragon Café Patrons both old and new who wish to attend.

Please remember to bring your own food and drink with you, as this will not be provided (please note this is an alcohol free event). There will be time during the schedule to all sit and enjoy good food and even better company. 

If possible, please do not bring any single use plastics and be prepared to take any rubbish home with you. We want to be as respectful to the environments as we possibly can be. So, bring your own cups, water bottles, cutlery, etc.

Please remember to bring appropriate clothing for the weather on the day and something to sit on (blanket, roll mat..etc). Feel free to come for as much or as little time as you want. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Timetable:

1.15pm:  A member of the Mental Fight Club team will be waiting outside of Oval Tube station from 1pm and will be there to meet patrons and walk into the park together. We will be leaving the station at 1:15pm. 

1.30pm: This time is set aside for Patrons to connect, chat, and catch up.

2.30pm: The Dragon Café singing Group: Vivien will lead the group in songs and rounds of celebration and summer. You don’t need to have attended the singing group previously to join in, everybody is welcome.

4.00pm: Danceworks by Ariella and Renzo. Dear Dragons, Join us for a Danceworks 'special' immersed in nature and celebrate friendship day in the joyful company of fellow dragonistas! It's 'dance-together' time at Danceworks. For this special outdoor Monday and we have prepared some lovely moves and shakes that will make us all feel connected, strong, and fit for the rest of the week! See you at Dragons' Monday in the Park!

5.00pm: More time for Dragon Café Patrons to spend time together and bring this event to a close.

Getting to Oval Tube station:

Oval station is accessible via the Northern Line.

BY TRAIN

Vauxhall is the nearest train station and is an 11minute walk or 10 minute bus ride away.

BY BUS 

The Following bus routes serve Oval station:  3, 36, 59, 133, 155, 159, 185, 333, 415 and 436.

We hope you all have a wonderful summer break and thank you for joining our events so far this year. The Dragon Café will return on Monday 4th September 2023at Inspire (the Crypt) at St Peters on Walworth Road. Full details will be announced at the end of August.
