Full Timetable:
12:30pm - 1:45pm: Creative Writing with Wordsmiths
In this fun workshop, attendees are guided through structured writing activities and games to enable them to create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on their own experiences.
The group setting allows each person to firstly build confidence by sharing work that they have created from nothing, and secondly to build empathy towards other people in their community by hearing their stories in their words. The goal is to enable a creative way to communicate and to understand thoughts and ideas whilst having fun.
2pm - 3pm:
Why do we feel this way? : Make your own MadZine to have your say!
A practical workshop to create your own MadZine, critically exploring widespread views of causation in mental ill health and foregrounding alternative/dissenting interpretations of what causes us to be where we are.
Together we will explore the causes of mental ill health that don’t often get a look in and create our own stories that include the parts overlooked by clinicians and other professionals. What do you want them to know and what have you never been asked?
Zine materials will all be provided but please feel free to bring any text, images or materials you’d like to work with.
3:50pm - 4:50pm: The Singing Group
The Dragon Café Singing group will be meeting for a live session on Monday, where we will be raising our voices together in song as we come together. Come along and join in, everyone is welcome.
5pm - 6pm: Danceworks
A mixed bag of modern and historical dance is welcoming Dragons this coming Monday at Draper Hall. We look forward to celebrating friendship and connection once more in great company!
