The Dragon Café is inviting you to join us on Monday 17th January to come together as a community of creative minds and participate in a range of online arts activities.
1:00pm - 2:00pm: The Dragon Café Singing Group - On Monday we'll sing uplifting and heart-warming chants and rounds, and some of our own compositions. The group will open at 12:45pm for a warm chat before the singing begins. Everyone is warmly welcome!
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Self Management UK – Very kindly Zev from Self Management UK has agreed to drop in and tell our patrons a little bit about Self Management UK and the Courses which we are running in partnership with them. There will be an opportunity to register for these Self Management courses during this session as we want to make registration as uncomplicated as possible for patrons of the Dragon Café.
3:00pm - 4:00pm: Wordsmiths Creative Writing - In this fun workshop, attendees are guided through structured writing activities and games to enable them to create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on their own experiences.
The group setting allows each person to firstly build confidence by sharing work that they have created from nothing, and secondly to build empathy towards other people in their community by hearing their stories in their words. The goal is to enable a creative way to communicate and to understand thoughts and ideas whilst having fun.
5:00pm - 6:00pm: Ariella & Renzo Danceworks - Dear Dragoniers...we are ready to start a brand new week with you on Monday and fill it with energy and great music! No dance experience needed and we can all adapt the moves to the way we feel on the day.
It is fine if you prefer to have your camera off and you are welcome to request songs...musica maestro!
6:00pm - 7:00pm: Ariella & Renzo Shareworks - Our Monday's sessions feature Art, Music and Literature for everyone. Created by Patrons for all Patrons, this enriching, safe and bonding open space is a great way to relax, catch our breath after dance, connect, listen, watch and share.
'A riot is the language of the unheard', is one of Martin Luther King Jr's most famous quotes, resonating with many young people today just as it did when he delivered his speech 'The Other America' in the mid-1960s. On Monday we will honour King's Day (17th), primatologist and conservationist Dian Fossey's 'Gorillas in the Mist' (16th) and artist Paul Cezanne's work (19th). See you at Dragon's Monday!
