12pm – 2pm: Crafting the Puppet and Finding its Voice
In the first of the day’s hands-on sessions, a friend of MFC puppet creator Russell Dean will guide us through another session in which we will build or complete a puppet. Participants will craft a character’s head and begin to explore how it speaks and moves.
We are asking participants who took part in the previous Creative Salon with Russell Dean to remember to bring their unfinished puppet heads with them for this session.
If you didn’t take part in the first session, don’t worry, you can still join in this one.
2pm: Refreshments Break
2:30pm – 4:30pm: Finding and Telling the Puppet’s Story
In the second of the day’s workshops focusing on Puppets, we will be exploring the stories that our puppets want to tell, what these puppets might want to say about themselves and us.
4:30pm: Refreshments Break
4:40pm – 5:30pm: The Dragon Café Singing Group
To end our day, we will Gather for a vibrant vocal session led by Vivien Ellis, celebrating the joy of singing. We'll explore various musical styles. There's something for everyone!
