Lyrics
“THE STAR" -
'I had a little sister
They call her peep peep peep
She wades the waters deep deep deep
She climbs the mountains high high high
Poor little sister
She has but one eye'
“ICICLES” -
When icicles hang by the wall
And Dick the shepherd blows his nail,
Blows his nail;
And Tom bears logs into the hall
And milk comes frozen home in pail,
Home in pail;
When blood is nipp'd, and ways be foul,
Then nightly sings the staring owl.
CHORUS:
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo
A merry note
While greasy Joan doth keel the pot.
When all aloud the wind doth blow,
And coughing drowns the parson's saw,
Parson's saw;
And birds sit brooding in the snow,
And Marian's nose looks red and raw,
Red and raw;
When roasted crabs hiss in the bowl,
Then nightly sings the staring owl.
CHORUS:
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo, a merry note
While greasy Joan doth keel the pot
When Tescos pile the mince pies high,
And UV bulb shines for the S.A.D.,
For the S.A.D.;
And West End lights cheer up the sky,
And Mum knits woolly hat for Dad,
Hat for Dad;
When hot on bus, and cheek by jowl,
Then nightly sings the staring owl.
CHORUS:
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo
To-o-o-o-whoo
To-whit, to-whoo, a merry note
While greasy Joan doth keel the pot.
