We are extremely happy to welcome back Emma McGordon to the Dragon Café for another of her poetry sessions. Emma’s use of free writing and poetic form makes this an ideal workshop for everyone, from beginners with no experience of writing poetry to seasoned writers.
2pm: Food Served: Balanced bites to refuel
Expect lots of fresh and healthy options, including an assortment of salads, fruit, fresh breads, olives, finger foods, and much more.
2:30pm - 3:30pm: Stress Reduction and Laughter Workshop with Patricia Byrne
Well-being session to help you reset your brain and your body. Exploring well-being tools such as breathwork, laughter & emotional freedom technique. You will learn simple, quick ways that can help yourself feel better!
3:45pm – 5:45pm: A Colour Hunt for Talking Heads, A creative stroll double workshop with artist Jonny Dixon
Join artist Jonny Dixon for a creative stroll around some of the streets and green spaces surrounding the venue. We will be collecting materials along the way which will be added to our Talking heads creative build.
Part 1 – An outdoor colour hunt...using powers of observation and noticing of small details participants have 45 minutes to try and complete a colour-hunt challenge, finding and collecting 5 objects to match a colour chart given to them
Part 2 – Back to Walworth Living rooms with our materials to make talking peg-heads.
5:45pm – 6:45pm: Singing Group
Join us for a vibrant vocal session led by Vivien Ellis, celebrating the joy of singing. We'll explore various musical styles including sea shanties, old English chants, choral pieces created by our group, and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There's something for everyone!
