The Social Innovation Partnership Collaboration

Learning more about how Mental Fight Club work with artists to develop creative work

We are excited to be collaborating with The Social Innovation Partnership – TSIP for short – who will be helping us, our artists and activity leaders to continue to think about our artistic work and activities. Artists and Patrons are key to Mental Fight Club and we would love everyone to be involved.

TSIP share our love for creativity and are looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Here are a few words from them:

We are excited to be working with Mental Fight Club to evaluate their creative work with artists. This means that we are keen to find out how you were involved with some of the creative programme, what you liked about it and what you think could be done further as part of similar programmes in the future.

We want to hear from as many patrons as possible, in whatever way you would like to express your reflections. We’ll be organising 1:1 and group feedback sessions, and attending some of the programme events where you can meet us and chat to us directly. If you prefer to write your reflections for instance in a poem, express them through a drawing or any other creative medium, we would love to receive these by email. You can send us your thoughts by email to our colleague Nairat (more about Nairat below) at nairat.ali@tsip.co.uk between now and March 2022.

Later next year, we’ll be putting together what we’ve learned about the programme. If we use the information you send us, we’ll remove your names or anything else that could identify you, as we want patrons to feel able to speak openly about what they liked or disliked about the creative programme.

At TSIP, we work with charities and other organisations to help them learn how to be even better at what they do. We always want our work to make a difference to communities. You can read more about TSIP here: tsip.co.uk.

Until we meet you all, here is some more information about our team:

Maria Kordowicz

Maria has been researching and evaluating programmes and services predominantly in health and social care for over 15 years. She is Head of Learning, Research and Evaluation at TSIP and now lives in beautiful rural Lincolnshire, having grown up in Warsaw, Poland and in North London.

Tyler Fox

Tyler has a background in youth and community work, with a specialism in migration and grassroots services. She is part of TSIP’s consultant team, where she regularly facilitates co-design sessions with local community members to help connect them with, and influence, the housing, health and social services in their area.

Nairat Ali

Nairat brings experience in conducting research and analysis to her role as a Project Officer at TSIP. Since starting her role, Nairat has supported the wider team in roles such as project support, delivery and output. She is currently working on an evaluation piece for the University of Edinburgh’s new PhD programme in Medical Sciences and Translational Research where she is helping to administer project deliverables.

For more information about the evaluation, please feel free to contact: nairat.ali@tsip.co.uk. We plan to complete the evaluation of creative work in April 2022, but hope to continue to work with Mental Fight Club to support learning from the work they are doing.
