2pm: Food Served: Balanced Bites to Refuel at The Dragon Cafe
Expect lots of fresh and healthy options, including an assortment of salads, fruit, fresh breads, olives, finger foods, and much more.
2:30pm – 4pm: Songwriting with Actor Musician Darcey O’Rourke
Together, we'll explore the basics of storytelling and songwriting. Starting with a story, distil it into a simple idea that could become the subject of a song, then create lyrics, find a rhythm, and bring it to life. Finally, share the songs and experience what they're like as they leave the page and are performed for the first time.
4:30pm – 5:30pm: Open Floor - A Space to Share.
As we head into summer, we are opening up the floor to our participants to share creative work. If you have a song, a poem, a picture, a story, a piece of music, or anything creative you want to share with the group, this space and time is for you.
5:45pm – 6:45pm: Singing Group
Join us for a vibrant vocal session led by Vivien Ellis, celebrating the joy of singing. We'll explore various musical styles including sea shanties, old English chants, choral pieces created by our group, and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There's something for everyone!
