On Wednesday 9th July MFC brings you the Dragon Café in the City project in collaboration with Shoe Lane Library and the City of London.
Summertime Sketch, Sing, Create…
12.15pm (30 mins): Laughter Therapy
Energising laughter therapy with laughter leader, Sally Dixie. Designed to lift the mood and calm the mind.
In person & on zoom.
1pm (60 mins): Inspired by Turner: Stroll & Sketch
J.M.W. Turner was born 250 years ago. He has inspired generations of artists.
Come for a creative stroll with artist Vanessa Lawrence, finding out about Turner’s sketches of nature and making our own sketches along the way.
Art materials provided. Bring your own sketch book if you have one. Dress for the weather.
In person. Start & end at Shoe Lane Library.
2.15pm (90 mins): Relax & Create: Drop In
Stay on to do more drawing or drop in for this self-led sociable session, including, Chess, Lego, Newspapers. Bring your own puzzles or board games.
In person at Shoe Lane Library. No booking needed.
5pm (60 mins): Paper Shoes
Make a paper pointe shoe, then fill with pot puree. It makes a lovely summer gift for a friend or keep for yourself to hang up at home.

6.15pm (60 mins): Finding your Voice: Summer Songs
Relaxed, non-judgmental voice workshop including simple summer songs. With opera singer Ellie Popham.
