6:30pm - 7:30pm: “Our Journey” - MFC Animation Project Sharing Session
We are excited to share our animation at the first of The Dragon Cafe's monthly in-person gatherings. We'll watch the animation and hear from animator Mark Elliott and patrons who have made the piece. We're really looking forward to feedback, and singing our song to a live audience!

'Our Journey' is an animation created by Dragon Cafe patrons with singer Vivien Ellis, film-maker Mark Elliott and composer Glenn Keiles, with financial support from The Wellcome Trust. It tells the story of creating something from our collective experience of the year 2020-2021, through challenging times - Patrons have shared ideas, experiences, made visual art, recorded sounds, written words, and composed and recorded a song. 'Our Journey' documents individual moments in a single day, from morning to night.

'Our Journey' was inspired by sculptor Antony Gormley's small folded clay figure 'Hold'. Gormley affirmed that everyone is an artist, and said: "...we have to ask ourselves: What do we care about? What do we value? What do we love?"
