12:30pm - 2pm: Creative writing at The Dragon Café.
In this fun workshop, attendees are guided through structured writing activities and games that help them create and share a mixture of fictional and true stories based on their own experiences.
Our group setting allows each person to first build confidence by sharing work that they have created from nothing, and then to build empathy towards others in their community by hearing their stories in their own words. The goal is to provide a creative way to communicate and understand thoughts and ideas, while having fun.
2pm: Food served: Balanced bites to refuel at The Dragon Café
Expect a lot of fresh and healthy options, including an assortment of salads, fruits, fresh breads, olives, finger foods, and much more.
2:30pm - 4pm: Acting Up @ The Dragon Café.
Acting Up @ Dragon Café is a creative, fun and relaxing way to unwind on a Monday afternoon. No experience necessary for this inclusive theatre skills workshop that involves games and drama activities.
We will work with different creative stimuluses and themes to fire up our imaginations and try out new things. This is a safe and welcoming space where people say they feel very welcome and supported. A great way to meet people and develop confidence! Facilitated by Jen Camillin who has been running Acting Up in different settings since 2011. Come along and try it out!
4:30pm - 5:30pm: Singing Group
In this session, participants are invited to come together in celebration of the positive impact of singing and the voice. This session, facilitated by our singing lead Vivien Ellis, will be an energy filled journey through a mix of singing and vocal styles. From sea shanties to old English chants, choral favourites written by the singing group and some improvised rounds and soundscapes. There is something in this session for everyone.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Crypt at St Peter's. See you on Monday!
